We all know the Koenigsegg One:1, the 1360bhp megacar. After the Agera Christian Von Koenigsegg was looking for a faster lighter car. So the One:1 was born. Why was it called One:1? This car has a 1:1 power to weight ratio. Which makes this an outsanding car. The car has a V8 with a weight of just 197 kilograms. All to the use of strong and light materials. So what speed does that 1360bhp V8 make? The topspeed of this car is around 440km/h with a 2,8 second 0-100km/h time. But since this car is unable to be bought by most of us there luckily are model cars. Frontiart was first to make the One:1 in 1:18, but after some time AUTOart has it available aswell in the following specs:
Before starting the review I want to thank @athens_carspotter for providing me with the pictures for this review.
The first look at the model is good, shutlines and paint are good. Overall proportions are perfect. 1 thing that you can't see is that it's sadly a composite model. Which means this model is made from a plastic material.

Starting at the front of this model we have what to excpect from an autoart model. Front grills perforated, great light detail with all DRL's. There's lots of carbon fibre work, some is a decal but we also have moulded carbon fibre, and that isn't good. Moulded carbon is what you get on Bburago and Maisto models, come on Autoart this had to be better. For the rest, the logo is perfect so nothing bad there. Let's move on to the side of the One:1.
The side profile is by far my favourite part of this car. Shutlines are perfect. Paintjob is good too.
Taking a look at the wheels, which is usually the best part about an AUTOart model. But here again there is moulded carbon :\.
Brake discs are good, cooling holes are a little oversized. Brake calliper is in metallic blue, which would've been nicer if it was in matt, but that's just personal preference. The logo on the wheel is metal etched, yey! Also liking the Michelin lettering on the tires.
Also a good thing are the perforated side grills.

Moving over to the rear. We can see the huge rear perforated grill which is perfect. The rear lights are good aswell featuring the little LED's. Also the brake lights are good and surrounded by perforated grills. The Koenigsegg script is metal etched as to be excpected. But can I just say, what a beautifull exhaust, the colour is just amazing. Also loving the lettering on it. Sadly the rear diffuser is moulded carbon....
Before moving to the inside of the model, I have to mention the moving spoiler, again it is bad it's moulded carbon. The spoiler does feature a metal etched a Koenigsegg logo.
Moving over to the heart of the model, the engine. And it's nics, but black... really black. Yes the exhaust is grey with beautiful golden clamps, and there is some grey on the triplex suspension, but for the rest it's almost all black. And again moulded carbon, come on AUTOart. There is some branding but not much detail. This had to be much better.
So this model is a roadster, and when taking off the roof we have full access to the interior.
The interior is black with blue, but it's not good.. Almost no detail on the centre console, would've liked to see the Koenigsegg logo on the screen, and more detail on the buttons. The floor isn't flat but has somekind of diamond stitched texture. For the rest the steering wheel has good detail and behind the steering are some stickers, allright. 1 thing to mention is the One:1 script and limited edition plaque on the carbon monocoque. |
Conclusion, for a price of over €300,- is this worth it, yes and no. If you want to spend more I would say no, you should then buy the Frontiart one. If this isn't a must have wait for a lower price. And if it is a must have, know what you're getting.
It has moulded carbon, not a lot of detail in the trunk and in the engine bay, it also lacks some interior detail.
So this model gets a:
