The Maserati Alfieri, one of the most beautiful concept cars ever made. Yes, concept car. Maserati has never made this as a production car, so why did they make this concept then? The Alfieri was made to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Maserati brand (1914-2014). The car has been designed using elements from the famous Maserati A6 GCS. Being based on the MC Stradale, the Alfieri had the same Ferrari engine making 460 bhp. The Aflieri was set for production in 2016, but that date has now been set to 2020, and oh man I want this car to go in production.
I had been looking for an Alfieri for myself as long as it was released by BBR. As soon as AN Modelcars had one in stock I immediately bought it.

The model in the review today is the Maserati Alfieri, one of the few cars reproduced in scale by only one manufacturer, BBR. This model is limited to just 250 pieces.
In case you might not have noticed it, for this review I went to a more natural setting. We're starting off at the front of the Alfieri, immediately I am blown away by the design, who doesn't want a trident on his display? The big front grill is divided in 8 segments by metal etched struts. The trident in the midde is also metal etched to give this car a luxury look. The slightly dissapointing thing is the chrome sticker above the grill, it looks a little 'cheap' compared to the rest of the materials used. The Maserati emblem on the front isn't just a decal or a sticker, no it's a very realistic looking badge. The lights are decent, the real ones don't have much detail to it, so BBR replicated that perfectly. I like the meshed grill under it a lot more, BBR nailed the pattern and even made it perforated. I only wish that they made the other grills perforated aswell. |
Next up, the side of the Alfieri. I don't know why, but I love cars with a long hood and a short rear proportion. Let's start off with these beautiful wheels. The fifteen spoke wheels are just amazing to look at, BBR replicated all of the blue struts. The middle features a blue trident, which is just a sticker in this case. The brake discs are real metal and feature little cooling dots. The brake calliper is done in the same colout as the blue strus and features the Maserati script. The famous 3 part grill has been replicated in chrome and agian with a little blue accent. One of my favourite design elements is the trident behind the window, made in metal as to be excpected.
The rear of the Alfieri. Again I'm so in love with the design. BBR Has nailed it all, from the metal etched Maserati script, the perforated grills, and the exhaust pipes. Again the blue accents come bakc on the Alfieri script and the exhaust pipes. I also really like the design of the rear lights. If only the exhausts had a little more depth to it and the rear would've been perfect.

Before moving over to the interior, I wanted to share these pictures of the beautiful white-ish leather base, featuring a Maserati logo, Alfieri script and limitation badge.
Since this model is made out of resin and doesn't have any opening features the only thing that can be seen on the inside is the interior. And it's a pretty futuristic one, but perfectly replicated. The interior is in white with grey, and this time it has copper accents instead of the blue on the outside. The steering wheel has been very well done, featuring a Maserati trident and metal etched shift pedals. Behind the wheel is the digital display replicated with a sticker, same goes for the middle screen. Hard to see on the pictures is the centre console, featuring the gear selector and a little clock. The seats also look very futuristic and feature a Maserati emblem in the headrest.
