Today we're reviewing something different. For the first time we have a fantasy car to review, provided by The Wand Company.
What can I tell you about this model?
Not a lot. It's from the Fallout video game, and it's based on the Messerschmitt. Since it's a fantasy car, there is no more information known about this car.

The model is made by the English company, The Wand Company. The company makes several products form, Fallout, Star Trek, Doctor Who and a Magic Wand. As far as their models go they have produced 3 different models till now. The first of the models is the Fusion Flea, followed up by their Fallout Pick-R-Up truck. Last but not least they build the huge and beautiful Nuke-Cola Delivery Truck. More Fallout models are in the pipeline. And we're exciting.....

As you can tell by the pictures, we have a new background. This model is privileged to be reviewed as the first model with the new background. Since this is a new brand to a lot of us collectors, I will show you the unboxing. I must say this is the most beautiful box I have ever seen. The outher cardboard box is a piece of art on it's own. Cool colours and nice illustrations of the model. Taking off the outer carboard another piece of art is shown, again some illustrations from all the model sides, and a the Fallout logo.
Opening up the box there is a styrofoam box to slide out. On top of the styrofoam we can find an amazing owners manual, vintage postcard and an enamal 2 years service pin. 3 Three cool extra's to display with your model. These are the things that make this model even cooler.
The Fusion Flea is a full metal body model with opening parts. One thing to mention is the beautiful paint. The paint is really shiny and has a nice metallic sparkle. Good paint is always needed and they nailed it on this one.
When looking at the front of this model it looks like you're greeted with a smile you get from the model. It's such a funky looking car. There is lot's of chrome work on this model, all of the chrome work is high quality and very shiny. In the front lights there isn't too much detail, just some clear plastic with a small dot behind it. On top of the lights the orange indicators are located, again nicely done but not with any crazy detail behind it, it looks nice this way.
Moving over to the side of the model, we can see the typical Messerschmitt shape. The wheels are in a two tone silver and white colour. The tyres feel solid but aren't made out of rubber. On the front fenders there are chrome details added, but we can see some access plastic that hasn't been removed, tip for a next model is removing access plastic. Panel lines are tight and even all round. The windows are made of a high quality clear plastic, detailed with silver lines. On the side of the 'door' there is also some silver outline, but it could've been better this time.. I would've loved to see the windscreen wiper in a different piece then moulded in with the rest of the window. The little grill is nicely done and add's some more realism to the model.
The rear of the model is dominated by the big chrome bumper. Again this chrome is very nice and shiny. The 2 rear lights are very clear and surrounded by a little chrome edge. For the rest there isn't too much to see at the rear of this model.
Next up is the engine. A little thing to mention on the engine cover is the little cut out for your fingernail. This way it's easier to open the engine cover, smart thinking there. The little air outakes are closed, but the black paint inside makes it look like it's real opening. Looking really good. When opening up the engine you're provided by a nice blue LED light, powered by three LR44 button cell batteries which provide around 5 hours of lighting power. The detail is pretty good, a mix of black and shiny chrome pipes. A cool feature is the removable nuclear core, which is a glow-in-the-dark core. Such a cool feature, this makes a model special. The opening mechanism is thin and sleek. Take a look at how bright the light is!

When opening the huge 'door' we have access to the interior, but the opening mechanism is little big, but the best option here. Moving over to the last part of this review, the interior. The interior is two tone, dark red with a beige/orange seat and dashboard. The top part of the interior has a diamond patern. The seats are well done, and made in some sort of plastic that has a little soft feel to it. As far as the interior goes, there aren't too many details. The dashboard has two little gages. The steering is a cool shape, but doesn't turn, athough the wheels do. The pedals are really cool!

It's time for the conclusion. So this model costs around $90-$100. That's a fair price, you get an exclusive car with a really nice box beautiful paint. Interior detail could be better, chrome work is perfect, engine is pretty good and the paint is beuatiful. It's defenitely a must add for the lover of Fallout or quircky cars.
