The Nissan GT-R R35 Nismo (2015) is the Nismo version of the GT-R R35 model. It is built Nissan Motorsports International in Japan. The biggest diffrence with the normal version is the more resolved aero package. Which includes a rear wing, deeper front splitter and side skirts which are all made out of carbon fibre. Through these adds the Nismo develops an extra 100kg of downforce. The has more resistant damping then the normal GT-R. The Nismo version is wider to make it look more aggresive.
The model to review is the GT Spirit 1:18 2015 version in white which is limited to 1500pcs. GT Spirit als made a matt grey version which is limited to just 500pcs. Retail price of the white version is around 100 euro. GT Spirit also made the 2017 version which is limited to 1500pcs and also has a retail price around 100euro. The price is not very high for such a good quality model like this, as you will see when you read on....
The model comes in the standard red cardboard box. With some GT Spirit logo's on it. Nothing special to see on the box. When opening the box you see a standard white styrofoam protective box. When open it you see the model with a little protective piece of thin paper, to prevent the model from getting scratched during shipping. Before you can take the model out you just have to unscrew the 3 screws on the underside of the styrofoam and there you get the model in it's full glory.
The first thing you feel when taking the model out of the box is the weight of the model, about 2kg. The model has a really solid feel and the proportions look very good. As this is a resin modelcar, there are no opening parts on the model. Wheels don't steer and don't even turn, which isn't the biggest problem but it would be nicer if they added that to the model.
One thing I personally really like about this model is the paint. The metallic flake in the white paint is absolutly amazing! Also the carbon fibre work is very nicely replicated as you will see later in the review.

Starting the review on the front of the car, we can cleary see the big carbon fibre grille on the front. Above the license plate which has the nismo logo on it we can see nice meshed grills, behind the grills are just black plastic pieces. We can also see the GT-R logo and nismo emblem in the grill which are both metal etched pieces. As far as the rest of the logo's go GT Spirit made all of them metal etched. A really nice touch to this model. Also the carbon fibre looks very nice of this price point.
The only thing GT Spirit did wrong on this car, maybe by lack of experience. Intstead of putting a real light on the model as on the real car they just used a piece of metal. The piece of metal looks pretty good even tho it shouldn't be there.
By far the most detailed part of this car are the frontlights. The shape is very accurate to the real car. GT Spirit made every single part of the light very precise. The light is placed behind a clear plastic piece with black edges. They replicated the lamps in black. When you look on top of the headlights you can see a nice grey stripe which looks identical to the real deal. GT Spirit even made the indicater light out of an orange clear plastic piece. Well done guys!
Over to the wheels. In my opinion GT Spirit is one of the best manufacturers when talking about wheels. The only downside on them is that they don't turn or roll. But nontheless these wheels are beautiful! The wheels are finished in metallic black and all of the wheels have 5 grey lugnuts, a nismo logo and a photoetched metal Nissan logo, very very nice! Behind the wheels there are metal brake discs with yellow callipers. Although the brakes are 1 piece they still look very good! The tires are made out od rubber and have a nice soft feel to them. GT Spirit also made a nice clear plastic indicator light on the front side of the wheel but one problem on the real car they are orange that had to be better, just a little downside of the model.
Moving over to the rear of the model. We can see the rear diffuser with the carbon surrounds, downside the grills aren't metal etched but just a solid black piece. All the logo's on the rear are metal etched. The spoiler is a tilted a little bit too much and doesn't look as good. One big thing GT Spirit did wrond here are the exhast pipes. On the real GT-R the exhausts are 1 oval piece with a little slot in them. For the rest the lights are very nicely done. A nice round red clear plastic light with grey inserts.
Before we move on to the interior just a little glimpse of the underside of the model. It's just a black plastic piece with a grey exhaust pipe under it. On the underside we can see some carbon bumper and sideskirt parts. For the rest there is the GT Spirit logo and we can see what car it is. GT Spirit also added a little metal piece where you can see which number the car is. MIne is 0593/1500

Last but not least is the interior as this model is sealed I tried to get some good pictures of the interior. The interior is black with red seat inserts. The interior is very nicely done. The steering wheel has some buttons on it but they are all just black. The GT-R logo is way to big when comparing it to the real car. On the center console of this model we do have a little more detail the buttons are painted white, which looks pretty ok but when you compare them to some other brands like BBR, MR or even Autoart it does lack detail. Now the worst part of the interior are the seat inserts. They are placed very nicely but as they are decals they shine too much and look a bit odd comparing it to the rast of the interior.
So, conclusion. The price of this model (100Euro) is very good when you see what you get. Altough GT Spirit did do some things wrong, such as the side indicator the exhaust pipes and the red seat inserts. They also did a lot of things very well, like the carbon fibre, the metal etched logo's and the lights. So this model is really worth the money. If this isn't good enough for you there is the Avanstyle model but it's more expensive.
