Today we're looking at our first race car. The 2015 BMW M4 from the Deutsche Tourwagen Masters race series. The DTM series is seen as the Formula 1 for tourwagens. The DTM cars are based on normal street version, but with a lot of added wings and flaps. This 2015 M4 DTM is based on the M4 F82. Which in itself isn't a slow car, with it's 3L twinturbo inline 6 producing 431 bhp it can push the car to 100km/h (62 mph) in just 4,1 seconds. But this isn't enough for a race series. So the DTM has a NA V8 with 480 bhp pushing this car to 100km/h in just 2,9 seconds. This might sound fast, but it's nothing compared to the 2019 version which has 620 bhp.
So let's talk a little bit about who drove this number 31 car round the tracks in 2015, Tom Blomqvist. In 2015 he drove in this matt grey BMW Team RBM number 31 M4 DTM.
Tom Leonard Blomqvist, which is his full name was born on the 30th of November in 1993 in the city of Cambridge. As almost all racing drivers he started off with karting. Blomqvist has been in all kinds of racing series, from Formula Renault till the Blancpain race series. In 2015 he joined DTM and was able to secure his first win at the Oschersleben. He also made history there as being the youngest ever BMW DTM driver to win a race.

Incase you would like to see the unboxing, feel free to check my video on this model, link at the end of the review.
Let's start off with the front of this model, the most aggresive side of this model. The overall shape is perfect. Since it's a closed metal model shit lines are crisp and even. The lights have some decent detail to them, they go deep and don't only feature the main lights but also the side led's. All front decals are tampo printed except the BMW logo, which is made out of metal. The kidney grills are closed, but so do they on the race car. The big grill under those grills isn't closed on the real car but is on the model, a big let down because it takes away a lot of realism. The M4 badge on the grill is a decal, would've loved to see it out of metal aswell.

Next up, the side of the DTM M4. The wheels are made out of metal and feature centre locks. The calliper behind it is made out of plastic and lacks in detail. I really like the Hankook branding on the harder rubber slicks. Again all decals have been replicated. The downside is the side exhaust which looks way to cheap, almost no depth to it and made out of plastic. The side window also features the name of the driver, Tom Blomqist. I really like the decal which holds the rear and front parts togheter with the body on the real the real car. Special mention for the enormous wing on the back. Made out of moulded carbon, doesn't look to bad.
Next up the rear of this Bimmer. You can immediatly see the body lines of the M4, with a massive rear wing and a huge wide body kit. Again all decals are there and all crisp. Rear emblem is - like the front - made out of metal. And just like the front lights, the rear lights have a lot of detail in them.
Next up is the interior, and I don't have much say. It's not what you expect from a brand like Norev. I know the real car has a lot of carbon and black parts in the interior, but I don't get a happy face when seeing this. The first glance of the interior isn't good. There is nothing else then black plastic, there is no detail behind the steering. The only coloured part is the metal logo on the steering wheel.
That's it for this one
Pros
- Overall shape and stance
- Decals
- Lights and badges
- Wheels and tires
- Shutlines
Cons
- Exhaust
- Callipers
- Interior
- Closed grills
Is it's street version a better buy?..........
